September 2006
On September 27, Commodore M. Borsboom - Deputy Director for Requirements - Defense Staff will officially open Thales' Battlespace Transformation Centre in the Netherlands.

The new Transformation & Integration Centre - TIC of the Land & Joint Systems Division in the Netherlands will together with the TIC in Hengelo join Thales' collaborative centres of expertise in Germany, France, UK, Greece, Singapore and Australia to identify and evaluate transformation options in order to provide a smooth and affordable transition from legacy to network-enabled capabilities.
By combining operational analysis, system engineering and architectures with extensive Battlelab facilities, all parties to transformation are working together in a common Concept, Development & Experimentation environment analyzing and evaluating the impact of technology insertion on the Tactics, Techniques and Procedures.

Previous to the opening ceremony which will start at 16.30, Thales Huizen will host a symposium on Network Enabled Capabilities - 'From Policy towards Implementation', organized by the NIID - Netherlands Institute for Cooperation between Defense and Industry and the Royal Netherlands Institute for Engineers.
