The highlight of the event was the presence of Fred Stein, director of MITRE, one of the Pentagon agencies, and co-author with Garstka and Alberts of ‘Network Centric Warfare: Developing and Leveraging Information Superiority’, 1999.
Fred Stein is currently involved in understanding the emerging operation requirements and translating those into solution design, test and integration in the US Army.
After his presentation of the latest information on Network Enabled Capabilities (NEC), a demonstration of the Thales’ Battlespace Transformation Center took place.
The Local Area Control Systems demonstration was also very much appreciated. As new threats and risks continue to emerge, Thales’ LACS solution ensure rapid and effective area protection and neutralisation of a wide range of land-based threats.
Several Thales’capabilities and products still new to the customer were also presented.
The customer’s reaction to the event have been most positive and encouraging. Many of them were quite surprised by the variety of products Thales is able to offer.
With the rewarding feeling of once again having brought to our customers ideas and solutions for their ever-changing environment and challenging tasks, we are looking forward to the next opportunity of welcoming them at Thales in Huizen. |
