Thales Nederland B.V. designs and supplies the Airborne Radio Interface Processor ARIP. This device provides the interface between the airborne tactical air-to-ground radio and the platform's MIL-STD 1553 boardnet. In principle, any type of radio(-family) can be accommodated by adjusting the concerned ARIP interface. ARIP has been supplied and is in production for several types of fighting helicopters like Apache, Tigre and NH90. Based on the technology of ARIP and its other skills in the area of airborne systems, such as the F16 Mission Control Computer, Thales Nederland B.V. is well placed to design, develop and supply tactical equipment and systems for airborne use.
