Thales Nederland cannot realise its objectives on its own. That is why we put great emphasis on focussing the attention of our suppliers on quality. We consider a profound co-operation with our suppliers of the utmost importance. Thales Nederland is a loyal, but also a critical partner in business.
Continuously, we need new suppliers and new opportunities to expand our business. Therefore we set up a global purchasing information network. Our network helps us to select the best products and technologies available. On this site you will find information about our purchasing organisation. We hope that a better understanding will help to establish a reliable relationship that benefits both partners. The objectives of the Thales supplier policy are:
- Thales Nederland is mainly interested in establishing solid, long-term relationships with suppliers who are creative in their particular areas of expertise and by involving them in the design phase as collaborative suppliers.
- Having the objective to maintain long-term relationships it is very important to describe the commitments made, in order to have a clear understanding of targets, objectives and results. Thales Nederland will continuously monitor supplier performance in terms of price, quality and level of service.
- We are always searching for specific, high-quality parts and new technology. These elements will enable us to produce attractive and reliable systems for our customers, often in small quantities.
- We give suppliers the opportunity to improve their products and therefore increase the added value towards Thales Nederland activities based on the know-how and experience of the suppliers. We are interested to maintain only those suppliers who demonstrate continuous improvement and competitiveness and pass the benefits onto Thales.
- There is a drive towards commercial-off-the-shelf products. We try to make use of these kinds of products.
- The purchasing managers of Thales Nederland work in consistency with the Uniform Rules of Conduct for purchasers of the Dutch Association of Purchasing Managers. This organisation is called the NEVI.
