The Danish Naval Material Commander has contracted Thales Optronics B.V. in the Netherlands for the supply of ALBATROSS thermal imagers for the upgrade program of their Stanflex vessels. The ALBATROSS thermal imagers will be integrated into SaabTech's Flexfire Fire Control System.

The ALBATROSS infrared camera is a dual Field of View day/night tracking and observation camera for medium and long ranges. The camera can be integrated into fire control systems and sensors platforms used for search and track, security and surveillance tracks. The ALBATROSS thermal imager is a new third generation thermal imager based on a cooled IR-CCD focal plane array detector, which works in the 3-5 µ mid-wave band.

The ALBATROSS infrared camera is designed to have superior performance for naval applications during day and night and is operational with several navies around the world.

Thales Optronics B.V. has just moved and is now based at a new location in The Hague, the Netherlands.
