Recently Thales Nederland has said goodbye to the last APAR system of a series of seven. All systems are now delivered to the Royal Netherlands Navy and the German Navy, in accordance with the contracts. The system has spent the past twelve weeks on a test position for the Factory Acceptance Tests. Having passed these tests, the APAR system is presently being shipped to the Nordseewerke shipyard in Germany. Here, it will be installed on the F124 "Hessen", the last of the three F124 class frigates for the German Navy. The system will be tested at sea in the second half of this year.
