Thales has been selected by the Netherlands' flagship airline KLM to supply an Airbus A330-200 full flight simulator (FFS). This follows the order of a Thales Boeing 777 FFS, which entered service at the end of last year and was the first FFS Thales had supplied to the Dutch carrier. The FFS will be fully qualified to the highest internationally recognised level of flight simulation. It will be "ready for training" in the second quarter of 2005 and be installed at KLM's dedicated training centre at Amsterdam Schiphol airport. Ype de Haan, Executive Vice President of KLM Flight Operations, said: "We're very pleased with the ongoing relationship and co-operation between Thales and KLM. We're confident that this latest simulator, like its predecessor, will meet our high demands and expectations."
