During the opening of the 24 th edition of the Thales FBK-Games on Sunday 29 May, President of Thales Nederland, Arno Peels, announced that the company will extend the main sponsorship. The present, three-year sponsor contract with the FBK-Games Foundation will terminate this year. Both Thales-NL and the Foundation are pleased to continue the cooperation. Among the Thales-NL staff the involvement with athletics and the Games has grown, which has created a positive image in the region. The Thales FBK-Games have the ambition to attain the Super Grand Prix status. All prerequisites are here: a stadium that is going through a process of renewal, participants with a growing quality, quite a few world records and an excellent organisation.
