Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) has decided to renew Thales Nederland's quality certificate ISO 9001:2000, including Tick-it, AQAP 2110, AQAP 150 and AQAP 160. ISO (International Standardization Organization) has an international standard for industrial processes, the ISO 9001:2000. All processes within Thales-NL must be organized so that they comply with this standard. In February four Lloyd's auditors spent five days thoroughly examining the Hengelo plant. Lloyd's RQA was impressed by the high level of quality control of Thales-NL. However, there are still some minor matters that need to be improved. From now on Lloyd's RQA will visit Thales-NL every six months to perform the surveillance audits in accordance with the rules of ISO.
