The product of training are a number of training courses and auxiliaries, they include:
- Basic training in electronics/mechanics,
a training to bring the trainee up to a minimum level in electronics/mechanics. These courses are available on the market.
- Operator Courses
Courses for Managers, CIC personnel, Operators and users of Thales Systems. For new (sub)systems, LSA will be the basis for the operator course
- Maintainer Courses
Courses for Managers, maintainers of Thales Systems. For new (sub)systems, LSA will be the basis for the maintainer course.
- Knowledge courses
Courses to support the customer's local industry are usually maintenance related. They are more in-depth and use complex tooling. Also system performance, system behaviour and the why / how are explained. Management aspects are included in these courses.
- Software Maintainers
Courses to enable (on-board as well base) personnel to maintain the Software Platform such as Operating Systems, SigMA/ SPLICE, Human Computer Interface and System Monitoring applications.
- Training for test engineers and field-service engineers
At the start of every new development, teams are formed (such as the Development Management Team and Software Engineering Team). New members of such teams need to receive a ‘pre-joining' training. As the International Training Centre is already involved in the LSA, it has trainers with the required knowledge available to carry out this training
- Expertise for Course modules/ Instructor guides/ Tutorials
Keeping your personnel trained to the required level is a challenge when system lifetimes are about 25 years. Thales Nederland provides means (and the experience to produce these means) to help you face this challenge in a cost-effective way.
- Courses Project manager/System designer/System evaluator
Subjects in this field can be: Sensor systems, Combat Management Systems (e.g. TACTICOS), Combat System Integration (CSI), Weapon systems (seminars), System engineering methods, Specification standards & methods, Quality management, Requirements traceability, Tooling, Performance specification & evaluation, System models, Evaluation tooling (e.g. NAVSEP, MATLAB), Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMC), Environmentals, Safety, Configuration management (CM).
- Radar design course,
to be conducted for a government or industry participating in a multi-party program.
- Courses for the SW Engineer
Includes SW engineering and management methodology; Architecture models of HW and SW; Application design and development.
- Courses for the HW Engineer
Includes HW engineering and management methodology; HW architecture (sensor/ system), Interfaces, commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) equipment; Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMC), Electrical Over-Stress (EOS) and Electro-Static Discharge (ESD); Environmentals
- Client Training Centre Consultancy.
Provides the required expertise to equip a navy training-school with the necessary facilities and supply the knowledge to organise the courses.
- Seminars
Various seminars can be designed and conducted, depending on the customer´s wishes.
- Expertise for LSA
The International Training Centre has expertise to and participates in the Logistic Support Analysis Team.
